What’s life like without Christ?

Living life without Jesus is like trying to navigate through a dark and treacherous forest without a compass or a guide. It is a constant struggle filled with uncertainty, fear, and a deep sense of emptiness. Without Jesus, we are left to rely solely on our own limited understanding and flawed human nature, which often leads us astray and leaves us feeling lost and disconnected from our true purpose.

Another way I can liken living a life without Jesus is like being a farmer without hoes. That is, without Jesus, we lack the essential tools and guidance necessary to cultivate a fruitful and purposeful existence. Just as a farmer relies on hoes to till the soil and nurture their crops, we need Jesus to till our hearts and nurture our souls, enabling us to grow in faith, love, and righteousness.

The Bible says, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” Psalm 127. This means that without Jesus, our efforts and endeavors are ultimately futile and meaningless.

We may strive to build a life of success and security, but without the guidance and grace of Jesus, it will all be in vain. Just as a watchman’s vigilance is useless without the Lord’s protection, our own attempts at finding purpose and fulfillment will fall short without Jesus as the foundation of our lives.

Are you sick, living with anxiety or depression, or experiencing failures in your career, marriage, or relationships? It’s time to surrender all to Jesus and experience peace all around. To be successful with these problems, you would have to give your life to Christ. Accepting Jesus into your life will bring about lasting transformation for you.

One day Jesus was teaching and He said, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14 KJV). You see, from this scripture, Jesus is emphasizing the importance of choosing the right path in life.

Without Jesus, one may easily be led astray towards destruction, as the wide gate and broad way are tempting but ultimately detrimental. However, by following Jesus and walking on the narrow path, one can find true life and salvation, although it may be a less popular choice.

I am asking you to come to Jesus so that you can start living His kind of life here on earth. The kind of life that God has is what you need to succeed. Jesus declared, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28–30 KJV).

By surrendering your struggles to Jesus, you can find solace and peace in His loving embrace. He offers a path of healing and restoration for those who seek Him wholeheartedly. Let go of your worries and allow Jesus to guide you towards a life filled with purpose, joy, and fulfillment.

If you are ready to accept Jesus into your life, experience His peace, and receive eternal life, I want you to repeat this prayer after me:

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before you with a sincere desire to surrender my life to you. I recognize that I have fallen short and I need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son, who died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I confess that He is my Lord and Savior. I ask you to come into my heart, transform my life, and lead me in your ways. Thank you for your unconditional love and the gift of salvation. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Thank you for your sincere prayer of salvation. You have made a wonderful decision to follow Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. I rejoice with you and celebrate your new life in Him. But this is just the beginning of your faith journey. You will need to study the Word of God, pray to God, and also identify a Christian community to fellowship with. Doing these things will help you grow in your faith. May God bless you and guide you as you grow in faith and love.
