Home of Success: Biblical Principles for Achieving Goals

“Discovering the Keys to Success in the Home of the Lord”

Your success is tied to your choices, and your choices ought to be in accordance with God’s Word. Although you’re at liberty to make your own decisions as a person, God still expects you to honor him.

We make decisions in life as free moral agents that occasionally affect the quality of our earthly existence. But how much longer will you put up with mediocrity? How much longer will you continue in sin? Don’t you know that God is being patient with you? Do not take God’s grace for granted.

God-wants-you-succeed

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 Make up your mind to serve God. If you do, it is then that you will discover the truth and set yourself free to live the victorious life God has for you.

What is the truth?

The truth is, you weren’t created to settle for less. God’s will, above all things, is health and prosperity for His children. The only thing limiting you is you. Until you decide it is enough and return to God for help, your life on earth will not be fruitful. Your success in life is a function of what you know. Hear me when I say that success is not all about material blessings. What God wants to give you is more than that. What you need is the Word of God in your spirit. That word will transform your life.

Until you seek the kingdom of God and its righteousness, all the other things you’re asking for will not be added to you. God knows what you need, not your wants. And he is capable of helping you succeed in this world and the one to come. Remember that your life does not consist of the things that you have. Hear what Jesus says in Luke 12:15. And he said unto them, “Take heed, and beware of covetousness; for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”

You need to grow beyond material possessiveness. Come to the realm where you seek God because of who He is. That is the higher realm of life, where love, peace, and grace reign. Beloved, you need to know the truth. Your life will change as a result of applying the truth. And by this, I mean the application of God’s Word.

Does God care if I succeed?

Yes, he does. I can tell you for a fact that God is more interested in your success than you are. See, there’s no way you would know things better than the One who created you. He formed you in your mother’s womb. He said that before you came into this world, he knew you, and what he says is true. So why do you think that he doesn’t care about your success?

In 1 Peter 5:7, the Bible teaches: “Cast all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” Why don’t you cast your cares upon him? The reason is that most of you are faithless. You don’t trust that God cares about you. You want to do things your way. However, there is a limit to what you can do in the flesh. You need God. I urge you to make peace with God through Jesus Christ so that you can live a life of victory!

God’s instruction is: “Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” However, man is hampered on all sides because of his disobedience, which has limited him and made it difficult for him to take pleasure in what God has given him for free. Beloved, victory is ours if we obey the Word of God.

Have you not heard that God is not a man? Consider Numbers 23:19, where it says: “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” So why are you doubting God? Why are you asking if God cares about your success?

If you consider all those people that God helped, or should I say used, in the Bible, one thing is common among them: they feared God and had faith in him. Your faith is your spiritual currency to access the throne of God. Without faith, no one can see God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Some of your life choices have reduced the dominion that you ought to have. Some are self-imposed, and others are done in ignorance. “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” Acts 17:30-31.

I’m sure that you want to succeed. So, my job is to help you learn the truth about life’s difficulties and how to free yourself from the obstacles preventing you from achieving your goals in this world because God wants you to do well. He wants you to be in good health even as your soul prospers. However, it is up to you to make the first move. You must desire God and then call upon him to save you, and he will oblige because our God is good and loving.

God is calling you

You have a call from God. Simply put, God is calling you to return. Shun sin and live a life that is worthy of acceptance by God. Some of you want to succeed before serving God. Well, it doesn’t work that way in the kingdom of God. It is obedience before possession. To obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken is better than the fat of rams.

Come to God through Jesus, for in him is life. That’s the life that makes all the difference in the world. Beloved, Jesus is calling you; he is saying, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

Final word: No more delays. Delayed obedience is dangerous. Choose to follow Jesus today, and he will save you. May God bless you as you obey and follow Jesus.
