They may also seek to deepen their relationship with God through prayer, worship, and studying the Bible, allowing His teachings to guide their decisions and actions. The Bible asks a profound question regarding the nature of sin and salvation in Mark 8:36, which says, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” And 1 John 1:9–10, says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
