He Is Risen: Jesus Lives and Loves You Today

The stone is rolled away, and His love is still calling your name

Matthew 28:6 says, He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Easter is the day that changed history. The stone rolled away, the tomb stood empty, and the grave could not keep the Son of God. Jesus rose from the dead with power, and that resurrection is not only a fact to celebrate; it is a living message for anyone who wonders whether God still loves them.

If you have ever felt far from God, unsure of your worth, or ashamed of your past, Easter speaks directly to you. The risen Christ did not stay in the grave because death had no claim on Him. He lives, and because He lives, His mercy is still reaching, His voice is still calling, and His love is still holding you.

This is why the Christian message is never only about a cross or only about a tomb. It is about a Savior who died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. That is the hope that steadies the broken heart, the joy that strengthens weary believers, and the invitation that still says, Come to Me.

The Empty Tomb Is the Promise That Death Lost

When the women came to the tomb, they expected a body. Instead, they met an angel who asked why they were looking for the living among the dead. Luke 24:5-6 tells the story clearly: He is not here, but is risen. The grave was not a final resting place for Jesus. It became a testimony that He had overcome every force that tried to hold Him.

Paul later explained the gospel in simple words: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. That means Easter is not just a symbol of hope. It is the proof that sin has been answered, judgment has been satisfied, and death has been defeated. Romans 6:9 says Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

The Stone Rolled Away

The stone was not rolled away so Jesus could get out. It was rolled away so the world could look in and see that He was already gone. That detail matters because it tells us resurrection was God doing what only God could do. What looked sealed was opened. What looked finished was only beginning.

Why His Resurrection Means He Loves You

Jesus did not rise merely to prove a doctrine. He rose to show that His love is stronger than your sin, stronger than your failures, and stronger than the grave. Romans 5:8 says that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. John 3:16 says God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. The cross shows the measure of His love. The resurrection shows the victory of His love.

Love That Did Not Stay Dead

The love of Jesus is not fragile, temporary, or uncertain. It walked into death for you, and it walked out again for you. First Peter 1:3 says God has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Living hope means you are not abandoned. You are not forgotten. You are not beyond the reach of grace.

That is why the line, He loves me, I cannot say why, makes sense in the language of Easter. We cannot explain such love by human logic. We did not earn it. We did not deserve it. We only receive it. The risen Christ loves you because that is His holy character, and He proved it by giving His life and taking it back up again in triumph.

If you need a place to begin again, this is it. Read The Meaning of Easter and How Jesus Saves Us and How Jesus' Resurrection Changed the World. Both point to the same truth: Jesus is alive, and His resurrection is still changing lives today.

What Proverbs 12:28 and Luke 11:28 Teach on Easter

Proverbs 12:28 says, In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death. Easter is the clearest picture of that verse. Jesus is the righteous One who walked the path of perfect obedience, and that path did not end in death. It passed through death and came out alive on the other side. For everyone who trusts Him, His victory becomes our hope.

Righteousness Leads to Life

God is not asking you to invent your own path to life. He is pointing you to Jesus, the only one who conquered death and gives life to all who believe. Righteousness does not end in the tomb. It ends in communion with the living Christ.

Luke 11:28 adds another important truth: Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. Easter is not only something to admire. It is something to obey. If Jesus is risen, then His word carries authority. The right response is not casual interest, but faith, repentance, and obedience.

Hear and Keep His Word

When you hear the gospel and keep it close, Easter becomes personal. The resurrection is no longer just a church celebration; it becomes the anchor of your daily life. You begin to trust the voice of Jesus, follow His ways, and rest in the peace that comes from knowing He is alive.

How the Risen Christ Meets You Today

The same Jesus who rose from the dead still meets people today through His word, His Spirit, and the witness of His people. He meets the fearful with peace. He meets the guilty with forgiveness. He meets the weary with strength. He meets the searching with truth. He meets the lonely with presence. He meets the broken with healing.

Believe the Gospel

Trust that Jesus died for your sins and rose again for your salvation. Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Easter begins with belief.

Keep His Word

Luke 11:28 reminds us that blessing comes not only from hearing, but from keeping the word of God. The risen Christ is not asking for empty admiration. He is calling for living obedience that flows from love.

Share the Good News

If Jesus has risen, then someone you know needs to hear it. Tell them that the grave is empty, grace is real, and hope is available now. Easter becomes strongest when it is shared.

If you are learning to walk in faith, keep reading and keep growing. The risen Lord will lead you deeper into peace, purpose, and obedience. His resurrection is not a one-day event. It is the heartbeat of a new life.

Practical Steps to Follow the Living Jesus

Read the resurrection accounts:

Spend time in Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, and John 20. Let the eyewitness accounts fill your heart with certainty and worship.

Pray with trust:

Tell Jesus the truth about your fears, sins, and hopes. He is alive, and He hears you.

Walk in obedience:

Take the next step God has already shown you. Easter faith is not only spoken. It is lived.

Prayer for Easter Hope

Lord Jesus, thank You for leaving the tomb empty and proving that death has been defeated. I believe You are alive, and I believe Your love is stronger than my sin and stronger than my fears. Teach me to hear Your word and keep it. Lead me into righteousness, peace, and obedience. Help me trust that You died for me, rose for me, and still live to save, heal, and guide me today. Let my life show that You are risen indeed. Amen.

He is risen. He is alive again. The stone is rolled away. His love is not a memory; it is a present reality for every reader who will trust Him. He loves me, I cannot say why, but I can say this with certainty: the tomb is empty, Jesus is Lord, and Easter still speaks hope into every heart that listens.
