One-Year Bible Study Plan: Strengthening Faith and Drawing Closer to God

Welcome to Our One-Year Bible Study Plan!

We invite you to embark on a transformative journey through the Word of God. This Bible study plan is designed to help you grow deeper in your faith, develop a closer relationship with God, and understand His will for your life. Over the next 12 months, you will explore key themes that are foundational to a strong Christian life.

Monthly Themes Overview

Each month, we’ll focus on a specific theme with corresponding Bible readings and reflection prompts. This approach allows you to dive deep into essential aspects of Christian faith.

  1. January – Foundations of Faith 
    • Focus: Understanding who God is and the basics of the Christian faith.
    • Key Scriptures: Genesis 1-2, Psalm 19, John 1:1-18, Hebrews 11
    • Reflection: What does it mean to have faith in God? How does the Bible reveal God’s character
  2. February – God’s Love and Grace
    • Focus: Exploring the depth of God’s love and grace in our lives.
    • Key Scriptures: John 3:16, Romans 5:6-11, Ephesians 2:1-10
    • Reflection: How does God’s love impact your daily life? In what ways can you share His love with others?
  3. March – Prayer and Communication with God
    • Focus: Developing a powerful and consistent prayer life.
    • Key Scriptures: Matthew 6:5-15, Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
    • Reflection: What role does prayer play in your relationship with God? How can you improve your communication with Him?
  4. April – Trusting in God’s Plan
    • Focus: Learning to trust God’s plan even when life is challenging.
    • Key Scriptures: Proverbs 3:5-6, Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:28
    • Reflection: How can you trust God more fully with your life and decisions? What areas are you struggling to surrender?
  5. May – Living a Life of Worship
    • Focus: Understanding worship as a lifestyle, not just a Sunday activity.
    • Key Scriptures: Psalm 95, Romans 12:1-2, Colossians 3:16-17
    • Reflection: What does it mean to worship God in everything you do? How can you cultivate a heart of worship?
  6. June – Overcoming Temptation and Sin
    • Focus: Recognizing and overcoming the temptations and sin in your life.
    • Key Scriptures: Matthew 4:1-11, 1 Corinthians 10:13, James 1:12-15
    • Reflection: What are the main temptations you face? How can God’s Word help you overcome them?
  7. July – The Power of the Holy Spirit
    • Focus: Understanding and experiencing the work of the Holy Spirit in your life.
    • Key Scriptures: Acts 2, Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 5:18
    • Reflection: How is the Holy Spirit working in your life? What steps can you take to be more led by the Spirit?
  8. August – Serving Others in Love
    • Focus: Embracing a lifestyle of service and love toward others.
    • Key Scriptures: John 13:1-17, Galatians 5:13-14, 1 Peter 4:10-11
    • Reflection: In what ways are you serving others? How can you show Christ’s love through your actions?
  9. September – The Importance of Fellowship
    • Focus: Building meaningful relationships within the body of Christ.
    • Key Scriptures: Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 John 1:7
    • Reflection: How can you contribute to the fellowship of believers? What does Christian community mean to you?
  10. October – Spiritual Growth and Maturity
    • Focus: Growing in spiritual maturity and becoming more like Christ.
    • Key Scriptures: Ephesians 4:11-16, Philippians 3:12-14, 2 Peter 1:3-8
    • Reflection: What steps can you take to grow in your faith? How are you being transformed into the image of Christ?
  11. November – Faith in Action
    • Focus: Putting your faith into action through good works and witness.
    • Key Scriptures: James 2:14-26, Matthew 25:31-46, Titus 3:1-8
    • Reflection: How are you living out your faith? What can you do to be a light in your community?
  12. December – The Hope of Christ’s Return
    • Focus: Looking forward to Christ’s return and living in hope.
    • Key Scriptures: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 21:1-7, 2 Peter 3:10-13
    • Reflection: How does the hope of Christ’s return affect your daily life? In what ways can you prepare for His coming?

                  How to Use This Plan

                  • Weekly Reading: Each week, read the designated scriptures and meditate on the reflections.
                  • Journaling: Keep a journal of your thoughts, prayers, and insights as you study.
                  • Group Discussions: Consider joining a study group at God Liberation Cathedral to discuss your insights and grow together.
                  • Prayer: Pray daily, asking God to reveal Himself to you through His Word.
