6. Jesus Offers Eternal Security Replacing Temporary Uncertainties

Jesus provides eternal life creating security transcending temporary earthly existence replacing uncertainty with confident hope in future. "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand" (John 10:28). Jesus gives eternal security. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Eternal life through believing. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life" (John 5:24). Passing from death to life. "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son" (1 John 5:11). Eternal life in Christ. "My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand" (John 10:29). Secure in Father's hand. "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:18). Anticipating eternal life with Christ creates hope during present difficulties recognizing temporary nature of earthly suffering. "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us" (Romans 8:18). Future glory outweighs present suffering. "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him" (1 Corinthians 2:9). "For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother" (Matthew 12:50). Spiritual family through obedience. Experiencing meaningful community requires intentional investment in relationships prioritizing fellowship serving others sacrificially. "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). Bearing mutual burdens. "Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep" (Romans 12:15). Empathizing with others. "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith" (Galatians 6:10). Doing good especially to believers. Maintaining healthy relationships requires ongoing attention practicing forgiveness grace patience addressing conflicts biblically preventing bitterness. "Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye" (Colossians 3:13). Forgiving as Christ forgave. "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you" (Ephesians 4:32). Kind tenderhearted mutual forgiveness. "Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother" (Matthew 18:15).
