What We Believe
Biblical Truth • Salvation by Grace • Gospel Power
Our Foundation: The Gospel of Jesus Christ
At God Liberation Cathedral, our beliefs are anchored in the life-transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that every doctrine, every teaching, and every ministry activity must point people to the cross and lead them into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Heart of Our Faith
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
1. The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Every word is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. The Scriptures are our final authority in all matters of faith, conduct, and evangelism.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:16
2. The Triune God
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons:
- God the Father: The Creator and Sustainer of all things, who loved the world so much that He gave His only Son for our salvation.
- God the Son (Jesus Christ): Fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven where He intercedes for us.
- God the Holy Spirit: Our Comforter, Teacher, and Guide who convicts the world of sin, draws souls to Christ, and empowers believers for holy living and evangelism.
3. Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe salvation is entirely by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not by works, religious rituals, or human effort. Salvation comes through believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, repenting of sins, and receiving Him into your heart.
The Path to Salvation
- Acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of a Savior (Romans 3:23)
- Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again (Romans 10:9)
- Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior (Romans 10:13)
- Repent and turn from your sinful ways (Acts 3:19)
- Receive Jesus into your heart by faith (John 1:12)
4. The Power of Prayer
We believe prayer is not just a religious exercise but a powerful weapon of spiritual warfare. Through prayer, we communicate with God, intercede for souls, break strongholds, and see heaven move on behalf of those in need. We believe in praying without ceasing and in the mighty power of corporate prayer.
5. The Great Commission
We believe every believer is called to be a soul winner. The Great Commission is not just for pastors and missionaries – it's for every child of God. We believe in personal evangelism, mass evangelism, and digital evangelism as tools to reach the lost with the Gospel message.
Our Evangelism Mandate
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." - Matthew 28:19-20
6. The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ for His Church. This belief compels us to urgency in evangelism because time is running out. We must win souls now while it is still day, for the night comes when no man can work.
7. Heaven and Hell
We believe in the eternal realities of heaven and hell. Those who accept Jesus Christ will spend eternity in heaven with God, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God in hell. This truth drives our passion for soul winning – we cannot bear the thought of anyone perishing without Christ.
8. The Church and Fellowship
We believe in the universal Church as the Body of Christ, consisting of all born-again believers. We believe in the importance of local church fellowship, discipleship, and mutual edification. The Church exists to worship God, edify believers, and evangelize the world.
9. Holy Living
We believe in living holy lives that reflect the character of Christ. While we are saved by grace, we are called to live righteously, separated from the world's sinful practices, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to overcome temptation and sin.
10. The Gifts of the Spirit
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as outlined in Scripture. These gifts are given to edify the Church, reach the lost, and demonstrate God's power. We believe in divine healing, miracles, prophecy, and all spiritual gifts operating in decency and order.
Living What We Believe
Our beliefs are not just intellectual concepts – they are the driving force behind our ministry.
We continue in the Word, continue in prayer, and continue in evangelism because we believe souls matter to God.
Our Commitment to Biblical Truth
These beliefs drive us to serve with passion, evangelize with urgency, and pray with faith. We are not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. Every doctrine we hold, every message we preach, and every ministry we conduct is designed to lead people to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, we invite you to do so today. Tomorrow is not promised, but salvation is available now through faith in Jesus Christ.
